Two very fine, industrious loving people who just celebrated Fifty Years of Love to each other; Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Roberts. They are two of the most generous, helpful people you ever want to know. It is never too late to call them if you need help doing whatever. And they do it all with a smile. As Pastor describes Sis. Gwen, “She is one of the most vivacious, happiest people I‘ve ever met.” She is never down. She is always happy for everyone and their accomplishments. They are very supportive of the Pastor, the Church, Family, and Friends. Whatever they can do for you, let them know and they will be happy to help out. It is evident they love the Lord by the way they treat their fellowman.

Bro. Matthew and Sis. Gwendolyn Roberts were married on April 22, 1960 in Axson, GA. They are the proud parents of five children. One preceded them in death. They are also very proud grandparents who take an active role in the lives of their grandchildren.

Bro. Matt and Sis. Gwen are very active members here at Hightower Memorial Temple where they both serve on the Usher Board and they have for years. Sis. Gwen is one of the head cooks on the Church’s Hospitality Staff and she knows what to do with those fresh vegetables. Bro. Matt is also a bus driver for the church. Oh yeah, he is also our very own mechanic.
